If you have never read Star Mother's Youngest Child, you should. It's a sweet little Christmas story that I bought for my mother for Christmas this year. I was creating this painting [with acrylic ink & goauche for those who'd like to know] to go along with it--alas, I didn't get the painting finished as I was also doing a painting for my father. The end result, Star Mother still needs paint! But here it is currently:

I discovered this book a few year's back and fell in love with it. This promises to be a delightful illustration. Love her little feet.
